RSUST 27th Convocation Update, 7 First Class to Emerge

Over 5000 students will receive their first degree certificates during the 27th convocation ceremony of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology(RSUST), scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2015.

While addressing newsmen during the pre-convocation briefing, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barineme Fakae revealed that seven of the graduating students bagged First Class Honours.

He further went on to disclose that 445 graduates bagged higher degrees in various disciplines as follows: MSC Law, 50; Education, 25; Philosophy, 26; Science, 35; Technical and Sciences, 35; MBA, 41; PGD, 203 and PHD, 26.

Fakae said that the institution has successfully implemented an online examinations system which was introduced to remove irregularities and difficulties associated with manual examinations.

The VC also announced the appointment of three emeritus professors after a four months thorough online assessment and approval of the institution’s senate.
