Osun State University VC leads African Federation of Clinical Chemistry

A Professor of Chemical Pathology, Adekunle Okesina, has been appointed as the President of the African Federation of Clinical Chemistry.

Okesina is the Vice-Chancellor of the Osun State University, Osogbo.

The African Federation of Clinical Chemistry is a foremost scientific organisation on the continent.

Members of the federation are Botswana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Okesina is a Fellow of the post-graduate Medical College of Nigeria and the West African College of Physicians.

He was conferred with the distinguished pathologist Award at the First College of Pathologists of East Central and South Africa in 2014.
