Jonathan Will Commission Nigerian Maritime University in Delta on May 10

The President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, will on May 10th commission the first Nigerian Maritime University in Delta state.

According to the spokesman for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency(NIMASA) in a statement “the president would also perform the ground-breaking ceremonies of the university’s permanent site and NIMASA Dockyard and Shipyard both at Okerenkoko.”

According to the report, the University will offer the human capacity required for the maritime sector in addition to serving as a research and knowledge centre

The University is expected to commence full academic activities at the temporary site in Kurutie in September.
