BUK Promotes 16 Staffs To Professors And 12 Other To The Rank Of Associate Professors

Latest school news updates reaching us has it that the Governing Council of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), at its 9th meeting held on 19th November, 2015, approved the promotion of sixteen senior academic staff to the rank of Professors, and twelve others to the rank of Associate Professors.

In a statement by the Ag. Director of Establishment Matters, BUK, Malam Jamilu Salim, the promotion was effective from 10th September, 2015.

Those promoted are Dr. Fatima O. Ibrahim; Professor of Political Science, Dr. Baffa Adamu; Professor of Medicine, Dr. Adamu Alhaji Sumaila; Professor of Medicine, Dr. Sani Usman Al-Hassan; Professor in Surgery, Dr. Suleiman Yusuf Mudi; Professor of Organic Chemistry, Dr. Sani Muhammad Gumel; Professor of Colour and Polymer, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Ibrahim; Professor of Physical Chemistry and Dr. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa; Professor of Inorganic Chemistry.

Others are Dr. Mansur Saleh Kiyawa; Professor of English Language Art Education, Dr. Auwal Muhammad Lawan; Professor of Educational Psychology, Dr. Gaji Fatima Dantata; Professor of Special Education, Dr. Ali Tijjani Abdullahi; Professor of Special Education, Dr. Aliyu Musa; Professor of Linguistics, Dr. Garba Kawu Daudu; Professor of Linguistics, Dr. Juwayriya Badamasuiy; Professor of Islamic Law and Dr. Abdulmumini Bala Ahmad; Professor of Public Law.

The statement noted that twelve other academics were elevated to associate professors.
