BSU Lecturers Embark On Strike Over Unpaid Salaries
Latest report reaching us has it that the Academic staff members of the Benue State University, on Monday embarked on an indefinite strike over non-payment of their salaries.
The industrial action paralyzed academic activities at the institution as the lecturers stayed away from work. Students who had come for lectures were observed discussing their frustration in hush tones among themselves.
Chairman of the Union, Dr. David Ikoni said, the academic staff had no option than to stay away from work because the non-payment of their salaries had made life difficult for them.
According to him, “Our members have no money again to be moving up and down.
