O’level Requirements for Admission into Agricultural Engineering
To get admission and study Agricultural Engineering in Nigeria, you will require the following.
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any from Intro. to Agric Sc. or Materials & Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System;Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use, Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) ESUTECH accepts a credit in English Language and all relevant subjects.
(ii) FUAM requires five credits passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two of English Language, Biology or Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Geography and Economics. Also candidates with NABTEB Federal Craft Certificate or WAEC (Technical) Credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, may be admitted at 100 Level if they meet other admission requirements. All candidates must have obtained at least a pass in English Language.
(iii) LAUTECH and BAUCHI accept Biology in lieu of Agricultural Science
(iv) FUTO accepts any other Science subjects as the fifth subject and not more than two sittings.
(v) FUTA requires five SSCE credit passes English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a minimum of credit pass in the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level), or West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or NECO or its equivalent at NOT more than two (2) sittings in five (5) subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics English Language and any other science subject.
(vi) FUNAAB requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
(vii) BAYERO requires five O’ Level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Direct Entry Admission Requirements into Agricultural Engineering in Nigeria
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Engineering, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
A’ level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics. The A level include (but not limited to) IJMB, JUPEB, Advance GCE and so on.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) LAUTECH accept ND/HND at upper credit level. LAUTECH and FUNAAB accept three ‘A’ level credit passes in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and Biology.
(ii) ESUTECH accept ND/HND into 200 level and HND, first degree holders into 300 level.
(iii) ABU does not accept First Degree Holder.
(iv) ESUTECH accepts ‘A’ level Chemistry
(v) ESUTECH accepts ND/NCE with good grades in relevant fields.
(vi) FUNAAB accept GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or equivalent.
(vii) FUNAAB accepts ND (Upper Credit) in Agricultural Engineering or relevant disciplines.
(viii) OAU requires two A’ level passes in Physics, Pure
Mathematics/Applied Mathematics and Chemistry or ND
upper credit.
(ix) LAUTECH accepts:
(a) (i) GCE ‘A’ Level Passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or
(b) ND with Upper Credit/HND in related discipline (plus UTME requirements) may be considered for admission into 200 level.
(x) FUTA accepts ND at Upper Credit level or equivalent professional qualification in Agricultural Engineering. or ‘A’ level passes at one sitting in at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
(xi) ABU accepts
(a) ‘A’ level/IJMB passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.
(b) also ND Engineering or in Physics/Mathematics with a minimum of Upper Credit Pass from Accredited Institution.
(c) HND with a minimum of Lower Credit Pass in Agricultural Engineering from Accredited Institution.
(xii) FUAM accepts
a) Two `A’ level/IJMB passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
b) Candidates with HND Upper Credit and First Class Degree holders in relevant disciplines may be admitted at 300 level.
c) Candidates with HND Lower Credit, ND Upper Credit, and NCE (Technical) may be admitted at 200 level.
d) Holders of NCE with one credit pass in relevant disciplines may be admitted at 100 level. In all the above cases the candidates must posses the UTME requirements.
(xiii) FUTO requires accepts two ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Physics and Mathematics. It also accepts ND/HND at Upper Credit level in Engineering. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements. It does not accept First Degree and NCE.
